Prevention Programs

Mission Statement
To provide intensive support services to individuals living with or at risk for HIV through a network of committed individuals working together to encourage and empower those who have a desire to stabilize and improve their lives. These services are provided with respect, compassion and without prejudice to all who seek them.

What Do We Offer?
Our prevention programs provide assistance to individuals who are either HIV positive or at risk of becoming HIV positive. All services are designed to encourage individuals to maintain a healthy lifestyle through interaction with our support staff. Incentives are used throughout all our programming.

Services are provided in a relaxed atmosphere and include:

  • Prevention Case Management
  • Safety Counts
  • The SISTA Project
  • Healthy Relationships
  • 3MV (Many Men, Many Voices)
  • Community Outreach

Prevention Case Management
HIV testing, prevention education and prevention case management are provided to individuals who are either at risk of contracting HIV or are HIV positive in order to help reduce the transmission of HIV.

Safety Counts
This prevention program offers an intervention for drug using individuals. Enabling them to define their own risk reduction goals. Providing supportive reinforcement for their risk reduction efforts. Community sessions begin regularly. If interested please ask for more information.

The SISTA Project
This is a prevention program designed to empower high-risk or HIV positive Women of Color. SISTA consists of group sessions where coping skills, negotiation and additional topics are discussed. If interested please ask for more information.

Healthy Relationships
This program is for men and women who are living with HIV and/or AIDS. The focus is on developing decision making and problem solving skills to enable participants to make safe decisions about disclosure and behavior.

3MV - Many Men, Many Voices
3MV is a program designed for gay, bisexual, transgendered and DL Men. This intervention addresses important issues such as dual identities, sexual roles and cultural norms. Man Men, Many Voices is Interactive, Fun, Cutting Edge and Educational.

Referral services available for Oasis Drop-In Center: laundry, clothing closet, transportation, emergency food, Safety Counts and Intensive Case Management.
